Olefin/polypropylene is a synthetic fiber, like nylon and polyester, but it’s less durable. Olefin carpets are very affordable, and they are highly fade-resistant. You’ll commonly see them recommended for light-use rooms that are sunnier.
Triexta is a newer synthetic fiber that’s growing in popularity and quickly becoming a rival to nylon. While it is technically a cousin of polyester, triexta is more durable. It also has the same stain-resistant qualities as polyester.
Wool is a natural fiber that's popular for being eco-friendly since it comes from a renewable resource. Wool is also biodegradable, making it even more sustainable. Additionally, wool carpets are warm and crush-resistant because their curly structure traps heat and springs back into shape after being walked.
